I'm a retired amateur engineer with a lifelong interest in the natural world. I share a 20 acre certified organic farm with my 100 neighbours in the Yarrow Ecovillage in Chilliwack, BC, Canada. I take care of a small apple orchard and monitor the beavers in the small salmon bearing stream that passes through our farm. My main focus currently is soil biology, and its potential benefit to plants and for carbon sequestration. I am also striving to increase diversity in the orchard to attract insects and beneficial fungi.
