I love being outdoors and photographing nature, especially native species here in Illinois. I'm a sucker for wildflowers in bloom or gone to seed. I try to identify whatever I photograph. I've learned a lot over the years, starting with my sister in childhood, Peterson's guides, and now my children's ecology teacher.
