That Jobless Nigerian Conservationist (TJNC), to start with. A very big title (lol)

In other news, a growing expert in field, laboratory and statistical methods for biomonitoring of freshwater ecosystems. Equipped with indepth experience in the identification of benthic freshwater macroinvertebrates of Nigeria and West Africa, to the lowest possible taxon as well as physico-chemical and biological water quality assessment, microphotography, data analysis and visualization.

A vibrant biodiversity sustainability and conservation advocate, always available for collaboration.

I love field work so much that I always volunteer during free time to accompany other researchers to the field. I'm very much interested as far as it's got to do with nature. I am so interested in comparing biodiversity of aquatic macroinvertebrates from a trans-continental perspective if given the opportunity and so far, I have observed the biodiversity of macroinvertebrates in different vegetation zones of Nigeria and from different waterbodies ranging from springs, waterfalls, streams, rivers and reservoirs.

I developed strong interest in dragonflies and damselflies, having encountered the larvae and exuviae of these in very large quantities during most of my sampling periods. I discovered the challenges affecting identification of the larvae of some of the genera to species level even with available identification guides. I then decided to always take photographs of adults encountered during each sampling trip, to compare with the larvae sampled, since sufficient information on the adults of African Odonata exists. I finally had the opportunity to meet and work with Africa's high priest of dragonfly research, Dr. K.-D. B. Dijkstra, among many top ranking ecologists in the recently concluded Nigeria Odonatology Field Expedition.

I hope to also meet and work with many other great African taxonomists and researchers like Drs. F. Suhling, D. Chelmick, J. Kippings, H. Berber-James, F.C. De Moor, J. Day etc. as I've got a whole lot of questions to ask.

...and if you have read these musings to this point, it's nice meeting you. You may leave a message in my inbox or directly contact me via WhatsApp +2348180630402 (I respond nearly immediately via WhatsApp) especially if you finally have a field trip or any other opportunity for me. Until your next call or message, kindly stay tuned and enjoy my regular uploads.

Cheers
