Getting outdoors to enjoy all of nature is what really matters. But I developed an interest for butterflies that started back in late 70's when my uncle gave me an old insect collection from when he was a boy scout. From there my pursuit has taken me to a lot of western states where I have been able to collect, identify, and photograph them. I have even had some of my specimens displayed at the Texas State Fair! I consider myself somewhat of a specialist on western Nevada butterflies as I have seen just about every possible species that one could see in this area.
