CNPS Bryophyte Chapter - Monthly Zoom Meetings
YOU!...yes, you!
Have you ever seen a moss while hiking and stopped to admire its beauty? Have you ever wondered, "hmm, is this even a plant"? Have you ever seen a bryophyte under a microscope? Do you even know what a bryophyte is?!
Fear not! The California Native Plant Society Bryophyte Chapter is here to help!
We'll be hosting monthly virtual meetings and everyone is invited to attend! They will be the 4th Thursday of every month at 7pm via Zoom.
Our first meeting is Thursday, January 25th @ 7PM Pacific Standard Time. So, save the date.
The meetings will be pretty relaxed. We'll start with general chapter announcements, then introduce you to a new (and very cool) moss in CA, go over a tricky couplet in the keys for a specific group of bryos, have a guest speaker present a short talk on their project, then have some time to chat and ask questions. Several experts will attend this, so this is a great time to pick their brains and ask your burning questions about bryophytes.
As mentioned before, all are invited to join! No chapter membership needed. Anyone from anywhere in the world is welcome to attend. The intent is to create community amongst fellow moss-lovers.
