What?! Only 57 species in this Oklahoma County?

Those of you who have been reading my journal know that I planned to spend a week in Brownsville in the fall. Due to emergency car repairs, I spent the vacation money I had saved and there is no way to afford the trip now, unless I win the lottery. I decided to spend the weekend in Robbers Cave State Park, Oklahoma, instead. A weekend trip there will be a few hundred cheaper than a whole week in Brownsville. I booked the hotel last night and looked at the iNat species list for Latimer County, Oklahoma, this evening. There are only 57 species observed. What?! I hope to photograph as many species as I can when I go, including fish!

Oklahoma is one of those states that desperately need observations, which is part of the reasons I picked Robbers Cave. Besides, it will be beautiful in the fall and has a lot of plants and critters Texas doesn't have.

Oh no... I'm so sorry about the vehicle issues, Crystal... But! I KNOW you'll be having a blast at Robbers Cave! You'll triple/quadruple that species count!!! :-D

We were at Beavers Bend 10/17 and I posted several observations from McCurtain County, OK. We plan to spend Christmas week 2018 there and I will be hiking. Hope to post more for OK then.
