Is anyone else obsessed with UT Austin's Live Falcon Cam? After numerous attempts to see "Tower Girl," the resident Peregrine Falcon, I finally got to see her today (@ 12:54PM).
Was aware of the pair living in downtown San Antonio, but didn't know Austin had any. I'd say there weren't any in Austin when I was in highs school in the early sixties. As Bald Eagles have finally returned to the Pedernales River here in Central Texas, it doesn't surprise me that raptors are making a comeback across the board. Still pesticides pose a serious risk to all avian species to say nothing of 'lower' life forms. Now I have something to go back to campus for after all these years since I was a student:-)

I'd love to see her too, but I suspect the Falcon cam offers a better view than what I'd see in person.
