gravid female speckled rattlesnake. rattle broken off. lateral undulations but latter half is "walking" like an inchworm
96 degrees at 5:30pm. My friends photo, he doesn’t have inaturalist so he said I could post it. He said it looked “green” and it was smaller than an adult one he saw last year
This beautiful Southern Pacific was about to be shot as it sat beside a small pool of water when I asked if I can relocate it instead. They said yes.
And I took a video of it too. The first one I have seen in all the decades of field surveys.
