A healthy patch of C. levisecta flowering alongside Camassia quamash on the Glacial Heritage Preserve. There is potential hybridization with Castilleja hispidain these populations but that is beyond my grasp.

Found in nearly full shade along a creek near the evergreen beach trail. Growing from very dense, moist soil, covered in moss, pine needles, twigs, fallen leaves, and other decaying plant matter.
Surrounded by conifer trees, big leaf maples, various moss species, common gilled mushrooms, ferns, and other native shrubs.
The leaves are light green and range in size from .5 to 3 inches in width, with smaller leaves towards the base of the stems.
4' with light brown stalks. Small toothed leaflets. Spores on the back side.
