I am not sure I understand the difference between S. lingua and S. strictiflora. This site was amazing, there were 1000s of Serapias plants with a multitude of shapes and colours. From what I understand, strictiflora is an ancient hybrid between S. lingua and S. parviflora, so the tongue is a bit shorter in S. strictiflora than S. lingua - is this correct. The third image shows an overview, including 2 plants. The one in focus on the left seems to have a longer tongue than the one on the right. Is that the difference, ie left is S. lingua and right is S. strictiflora?
