pangolins, bushmeat market
Fine specimen of one of Seychelles two common snakes, seen near Copolia on Mahe Island.
So this is the third rat — African giant pouched — that we have found in our yard near our door in the past 4 months. That’s likely the dogs dragging them in, but I no longer believe the dogs are killing them. They have no external wounds or injuries. This area is amazing with indigenous trees and natural habitat for these native residents. I wonder what’s killing them?
