Normally don't use iNat for birds unless deceased, but make exceptions for critically endangered species.
This was confirmed by another birder at the time, same rare bird spotted by many other birders yesterday and earlier this morning. I saw the RBA and thought, I live so close, I have no excuse to miss this one! I'm still getting used to phone scoping so these photos are awful, sorry. I couldn't get the phone to work well with the scope zoomed in; everything was too unsteady especially when cars went by. I observed this bird spinning around and took some video, which I'll go through and edit and upload any stills if they are useable and maybe a GIF that shows the spinning.
This was really cool to see! That spinning is so cute 😍
Ack, I put the wrong phalarope down at first! I think it's fixed.
