Family Poaceae (Gramineae)
Bromus inermis Leyss.
Grass observed on top of a North facing coulee growing in dry dirt. Companion species were a few other Poaceae.
Plant is 70cm tall with a 14cm long panicle inflorescence. Florets are 1cm long. Culm is glabrous. Leaf sheath is open. Membranous ligule is present. Cauline leaves get smaller closer to the inflorescence.
