1.5cm black beetle with oval shaped body. Elytra are slightly striated and textured, and the antennae segmented. Feet are small and hooked. Visible eyes and mandibles.
Found with a buddy, unbothered by my presence.
Extremely small black/brown weevil found underside a rock in an urban garden strip. Almost half a centimetre in size. Displayed the classic ‘tuck and roll’ motion when disturbed.

Small thorax and head compared to the abdomen, elytra covered in very fine sparse peach fuzz. Slight bronzing shine on the elytra. Long segmented antennae, gently curved like bull horns.
Found on some Lady Finger bananas (the bananas smelled of alcohol)

Small elegantly shaped beetle with narrow tapered thorax and teardrop shaped abdomen. Uniform black colouring with faint greed iridescence. Striated elytra and smooth thorax surface. Wide head with strong jaws and long thin antennae. Long legs with tiny hooked feet, extremely fast.
Found while weeding out Bromus sp.

Body akin to a weevil with thick striated elytra and tapered thorax. Prominent, thick and long antennae placed on the top of the head, resting backwards along the body.
Dark brown with slight light grey patterning.
Specimen around 2cm in length.
Very small beetle that landed on my arm. Oval shape around the size of a raindrop, or Arborio rice grain.
Light brown with dark brown zig zag pattens down the elytra. Small head and large black eyes, segmented antennae around the same length as the body.
