All these photos show the same male (note the wisp of spider web caught on the birds' tail tip). The flight photo shows both R2 tail feathers are absent, while R3-R5 are fairly wide. So, despite the extensive green on his upper parts, this is NOT the returning Allen's Hummingbird known to be present also (his photos showed both R2 tail feathers present both before and after this date, and thinner R3-5 feathers). Locality: NEW ZEALAND AK, Auckland Central, 139 Quay St (Freddy's Ice House, Princes Wharf).
Habitat: Indet. cultivated palm, visible on Street View - Mar 2014. I have uploaded a screen shot, in case the url changes, but note that the screen shot shows the palm in Mar 2014. A heavy infestation of scale. Most scale dead.
