I was walking near the woods and found these two on the edge of the trees. I'm not entirely sure what species this could be, but it might be the one I put above.
This beauty ended up in the pot--notice the one on the spoon.
Under Quercus alba. 3% KOH on flesh orange. Young pores yellow becoming olive. Pores bruise blue. Pileus context pale yellow turning bluish. Stipe bruising brown. Taste somewhat bitter. Fine red reticulation on upper stipe.
