Very strange, while fly fishing for bass and pickerel a friend of mine caught this explosive salmon on a dry fly. The only possible reason I can see for it being here is if it was an escaped fish from a hatchery a couple kilometres away. I want to make it clear that this fish was not caught intentionally nor has there ever been sightings of salmon in lumsdans pond. The fish was quickly released and unharmed. Soon afterwards I saw signs of other rising salmon in a close by location. I am not marking the exact location it was found as I don’t think it’s right for these species to be specifically targeted if found by other anglers
