Wet, fetid leaf under microscope. Same specimen in all five photos, just different lighting. 40X magnification.
This 1" long critter was walking in the sand on the beach, stopping to poke its round head into little holes in the sand, then coming back out. Once it disappeared into the sand. It appears to have six legs in the segments close to its darker head. The end of its body has forked feelers (?).
