A skipper trip with Linda Cooper, Don Fraser, Clint Gibson, John Lampkin et al. -- unfortunately very underwhelming due to the lack of sunshine. We started at the campground along Center Grade (0924-1116) then continued east until we turned north onto North Grade and drove west to the wooden bridge over the Little Withlacoochee River. We had no cell phone service, so I could not check the weather, but it was overcast for the entire visit minus about 10 minutes near the end. The temperature at the start was 82 and extremely humid -- vegetation was dripping water -- and the temperature at the end was 87 (with a "feels like" temperature probably in the mid-90s). We left at 1330. Skippers were infrequent -- and we saw nothing rare -- but treefrogs and large ground-dwelling moths were crazy-abundant at the campground.
