guessing this little one is about 4-5 days old max, going off a skate I seen freshly born recently

No idea what this skeleton is. Seems to have webbed feet and a long tail.
The last photo has a circular item for scale - it is 52mm outside diameter.

Found floating on it's side in the shallows. Picked up by hand and then released after photos

Part of a 10-day research expedition to tag Pacific Bluefin tuna, image taken by charter boat crew. These fish were satellite tagged and tracked.

Now this was a bit of a surprise.
Swam out when I lifted a rock. It then tucked into a space nearby. Very weird things. Habitat shot last. That's the spot he was in before I flipped the rock.

Lower intertidal.
