Found under a piece of plastic in a suburban yard.
Found indoors; the insect is pictured crawling on my wrist and forearm.
Found dead in an unfinished basement. The blue mark is an accidental splash of paint, not part of the insect. As I tried to remove the paint, the insect broke apart as shown.
INaturalist’s suggestion used as initial ID.
I think this is a juvenile? It crawled out from under a layer of small rocks, or out from between the rocks, when the area was flooded. At first the insect was moving, but it then went still, either dead or stunned. Please help me ID this; I have no idea what kind of insect it is!
