Fairly common here but mostly young ones like this, and often buried almost completely in the soft silty sandy substrate.
Relatively small adult that emerged as shown from within a complex heap of benthic jetty junk and fled.
Shallow subtidal, about 50cm deep. Less than 10 shells seen over 50m linear distance but more may have been hidden under prolific epiphytic and epifaunal growth at lake edge.
