Seen feeding on a Pied Stilt. Morialta Road Mudflats currently a haven for waterbirds. Past 2months sighting here include: 600+ Banded Lapwings, 200+ Red-capped Plovers, 22 Aust Painted Snipe, 90 Little Curlews etc
This is an adult, female, Heleioporus australiacus australiacus found and photographed in situ. It was not touched or even rinsed for the photograph (as can be seen) to avoid any harm whatsoever to the animal.
