A small spreading tree with abundant blossoms in a sandy old field near Erie Trail. ID based on flowers in racemes and round toothed leaves. One of the most common tree species in the area.
In an abandoned ditch in the swampy bottoms of Bogus Run. Fairly robust, and in a very wet (often flooded) spot - Carex comosa seems a likely suspect.
